Help us build and operate schools

We can build a primary school for approximately $50,000US and a secondary school for approximately $40,000US.  Adding a boarding facility for either a primary or a secondary school costs an additional $40,000US. Annual operating expenses for a primary school are approximately $16,000US and  $19,000US for a secondary school.  This breaks down to about $100 per student per year or $125 per teacher per month.

Help us spread the word about Southern Sudan

The 20 year old internal conflict in Southern Sudan has taken a heavy toll on the lives of the people.  Thousands of lives have been lost, people and families have been displaced and communities have been destroyed.  Many families live outside Southern Sudan in refugee camps in Kenya, Uganda, Egypt and in Northern Sudan or have moved to Europe, Australia and North America.  For families that remained in Southern Sudan there is an entire generation of uneducated or undereducated people.

  • Share what you learn about Southern Sudan and the need for education with family and friends
  • Host an informational evening with friends in your home
  • Invite Project Education Sudan to speak in your school, church, charitable or civic organization

Volunteer your time and share your many talents

Project Education Sudan is an organization made up of dedicated volunteers from many walks of life.  We have teachers, university and high school students, business owners, financial professionals, not for profit executives, clergy, Sudanese refugees, Lost Boys of the Sudan and many others who care about the people of Sudan and want to respond to the need for rebuilding the educational infrastructure there.

  • Volunteer your time and share your talents through fundraising and educating others
  • Get involved in a Project Education Sudan committee, help plan an event, write our newsletter, work on our web-site, write letters, contact others
  • Help us build Project Education Sudan so we can make a difference in the lives of the people of Southern Sudan
